Prof. Da\u011f completed his extensive higher education (undergraduate through doctoral studies) at METU before establishing his career as a leading inorganic chemist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Research Focus &amp; Expertise<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Da\u011f is a prominent figure in inorganic chemistry and materials science. His laboratory bridges fundamental physical chemistry with applied nanotechnology, focusing heavily on what is termed <strong>&#8220;nanoarchitectonics.&#8221;<\/strong> His primary research interests include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lyotropic Liquid Crystals:<\/strong> Studying the self-assembly of surfactants in various environments to create structured templates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mesoporous Materials:<\/strong> Designing and synthesizing high-surface-area, ordered mesoporous transition-metal oxides, phosphates, and pyrophosphates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Electrocatalysis &amp; Energy Storage:<\/strong> Engineering robust electrodes and nanomaterials aimed at solving energy problems. A major focus of his recent work is optimizing materials for the Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) in alkaline media, which is critical for water-splitting and clean energy generation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Recent Achievements &amp; Milestones<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"p-rc_4e301bfdcdda4700-30\"><strong>1. Prestigious Editorial Appointment (Late 2024)<\/strong><sup><\/sup> In recognition of his standing in the global inorganic chemistry community, Prof. Da\u011f was appointed to the <strong>Editorial Advisory Board of <em>Dalton Transactions<\/em><\/strong>.<sup><\/sup> Published by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), <em>Dalton Transactions<\/em> is one of the most respected weekly peer-reviewed scientific journals covering original research in inorganic, bioinorganic, and organometallic chemistry.<sup><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Cutting-Edge Publications (2025\u20132026)<\/strong> Prof. Da\u011f continues to lead high-impact research out of UNAM and the Bilkent Chemistry Department.
