We congratulate our doctoral researcher, the newly minted Dr. Irmak Karakaya Durukan, on successfully defending her Ph.D. thesis, “Synthesis, Characterization, and Electrochemical Properties of Mesoporous Spinel LiMn2-xMxO4 (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu) Thin Films.

She has become one of the pillars of the Dag Group through her constant determination and passion for science. In addition to her graduate laboratory assistantships, she has mentored many senior students who have since entered M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs. She has always been eager to help others, especially by sharing her invaluable expertise in electrochemistry, electrocatalysis, energy storage, and electrochemical techniques.

We wish Dr. Irmak Karakaya Durukan all the best in her future endeavors. She is currently based in Germany and is actively seeking post-doctoral research positions.
